thats my video and he just starts laying out all this crap about me that isn't true.
he just pics one of my videos and decides to say that I am a brat and my parents spoil me. he makes all of these accusations and doesn't back them up with research. I have about ten things all over videos, my channel, etc that say i paid for all of my animals and all of the vet bills. Arrogant slob. sorry i had to rant a little there, but rrrrrrr!

Just blow it off. As for Brett aka JuliusSqueezer, or whatever his name is. Me and a few other members of various forums have bumped heads with him numerous times. They mainly bash the bigger guys or morphs, claiming how much negativity is being cause, trying to pass themselves off as professional, when in actuality...they aren't very bright. Ignore them. Even if you try and argue the point, they have control of that forum. They'll either ban you, make you look like an idiot infront of their little "group", or do both. Just walk away.

I've watched that shmuck talk people into throwing away eggs that their Burm laid, when the person intended to breed them, or try talking people into culling off their morphs because they might "spread" some kind of mystical unseen/unknown/unproved "disease" going around that's supposedly linked directly through the morph and nothing else. They're not worth the effort man. Just leave it be.

Given what they said about NERD I'd say you got off easy...

Well, its kind of funny because the guy that posted the video said that albino BPs are screwed up and he posts in his signature "1 albino burm" Unless there is something I'm missing and its okay in his book to breed for burmese python traits but when you breed for ball python traits you are just going too far.

I wouldn't worry about it too much! Once someone made a myspace and sent me 200+ messages saying they were going to kill me, sometimes you just have to realize that people don't have anything better to do with their time.

Albinism is a weak gene regardless of the species. I don't see how it would have any more of an effect on balls than burms. I don't see how he can justify that. Responsible breeders outbreed enough to keep genetic defects in check, and in my experience the people at NERD are responsible breeders.

I don't know those guys, I just read that thread. But in all fairness just because he HAS an albino burm doesn't mean he is breeding it (or maybe he does).

While it was really not right to single out python's video, I have to say I do agree with some of the other comments the posters made. It sounds to me like they do love their animals and they are concerned about what goes on.

Sorry, don't want to pass judgement on ANYONE here, but...

If you consider that he was talking about the FIRST spider ball in captivity, it wasn't known at that time whether the morph was recessive, dominant, co-dominant or even genetic. Breeding the animal to a normal is exactly what would have been done. If carbon copies were produced, we got dom/codom, otherwise hopefully hets for a recessive trait. The poster you were quoting focused on the possibility that a new trait would prove out as recessive.

By the way, even if the new trait did prove out dom/codom (which it obviously did), you still have hets in the clutch (assuming you got visual spiders). My spider male proved out as a het this season when the first clutch that he sired consisted of 4 normals and 1 spider. If he wasn't a het, all the babies would have been spiders.

If NERD wants to address the libel or slander attempts or whatever, then that's up to NERD and you could send the link to them, for them to deal with.

I count Kara and Kevin as dear friends of mine. I've been to their facilility two times in the past two years, and I can't wait to go again.

One thing is clear - they LOVE and respect their animals with a passion that I have nothing but the greatest respect for.

Brett has never met them, nor talked to them, yet he has a deep seeded hate for them. Instead of bashing them every chance he gets, perhaps he should be man enough to meet them in person to discuss his problems with them.

I've been to NERD several times and it is top notch. It's cool how some people will carry a grudge and make rude (and libel) comments about a facility that they have probably never been to.

Before you make any decision about any vendor, whether it's NERD or BHB or me for heaven's sakes I hope you'd do more research than some youtube or forum drama or what somebody told somebody who posted about it 17th hand. If you want to know what happened, ask a vendor - address it to them directly and then judge for yourself.

This is the best advice anyone can give you. By continuing to email him or to try to bash or degrade him, you are only bringing yourself down to his level and making his statements about you true. I have read some of your other posts on this forum, and I picture you as much more intelligent than that. Be the bigger person, show him, but more importantly, show yourself, that you are as mature as you say you are.

I for one haven't yet done business with NERD, but after viewing their website and hearing the testimonials of others who have, they are on a short list of breeders that WILL be getting my business in the future...

He did that to me, and threatened to kill me a while back when I was 17. I think it was rtb.net back then. I was banned, my screen name wiped off the site, and all posts deleted when I threatened to take it to the police. If you have the email with his email address, what he did is illegal, if you are a minor. If you take a screen shot of it, print it out, print a screen shot of his profile on the forum, and report it to the proper authorities...
