Thanks for all the replies I hope to breed in a year or two. Maybe I'll buy some adult girls later on so I can start earlier. I have an adult pastel to put with them. He is 1400 grams.

    Solid additions!

The only thing i would have done differently is fudged up the extra bit to go for a pair of Super pastels instead of a pair of pastels. Still an amazing addition, you will be rocking in a few short years!

What plans do you have for designer morphs?

Jas they aren't doing good at all. I got a normal female in this group and she didn't eat the whole time i've had her. She also had diareha really bad. I was going to take to the vet this past Wed but she died on tue night. Well then I take my pinstripe male to get checked for parasites (because I thought thats what killed the female) and the vet found that he has parasites too. So now I'm having to treat all these snakes for parasites. I hope I have caught this in time and I don't lose anymore snakes.
I've been kicking it around to post this or not and I came to the conclusion that potential buyers should know what happened. I also called the guy Josh and let him know what happened. He told me he doesn't have any problems with his collection. He said the snake could've gotten a bad rat and that killed her. I don't think that is the case. I think his quarantine practices are zilch. He gets imports in and keeps them together. Even the vet said to treat them all because if one snake from him has the parasite, we don't know if the whole place is infested. He also said he give me a discount on any other purchases I make from him. YEAH RIGHT!!!!
Well I hope this helps some other unsuspecting buyer, because their were people that tried to help me and I didn't take their advice. So I don't know if I'd buy that YB or not. It's your decision in the end I'm just relaying my experience.

    Thanks

Yea, Its a shame when people do stuff like this for a Dollar.. But it Really sucks that the guy selling has NO CLUE what he is doing! How many snakes where sent out with this problem? How many snakes will die soon? Who cares! He made a Dollar!!

    Just to clear this up,

We do not keep imports near our c.b animals, they are kept in a separate room.

The female in question that the "parasites " supposedly came from was a normal female that we had gotten in on a order about a week before Allen contacted us about the package deal. When we were getting ready to run his card we mentioned an adult pastel male that we could do for $125 and we would throw in a free normal female. He bought them both, when he got them he put the pastel and the pin in with the normal female, she was something that just came in on a order as a bonus animal . As we told Allen we buy and sell a lot of animals, we had no history on the female, but from what he said she must have had worms, and by handling her/putting the males in with her they must have come into contact with worms.
We explained this to him yesterday, and apologized about the problem, we have sold 1000's of animals without any problems, and do not have any problems with anything here.
If we had seen any diarrhea or any other signs of parasites we would have wormed the animal as we keep wormers on hand prescribed by our vet , something every one should do.

As for the "bad rat" that was just an example of how a animal could have gotten worms, we hadn't fed her here as we did not have her long enough to offer food, if he had contacted us about a problem with her we could have steered him in the right direction and given him advise before his other animals came into contact with her.
If she had diarrhea then why was she placed with other animals.

This is not an excuse its the entire story, the animals we have here are fat and healthy, it was 1 normal female that had a problem out of all the animals we have /have sold.

Another reason NO MATTER WHERE your animals came from you should always quarantine as a precaution.

My thought on the matter is- J&J, even if the normal female was a free "throw in," you guys should have tried a little harder to make sure all animals coming through you are healthy. This one free normal female that you flipped looks like it costed you a return customer and perhaps some potential customers.

Josh we went over the putting the pastel and pin in with the normal on the phone just 10 min ago. Just so everyone knows. He sold me the pastel and normal "So I could go ahead and get to breeding". So I thought she was fine. Josh don't try and make this out like I did something wrong. You told me I could breed this girl, and why would I quarantine all the animals I got from you. I quarantined them away from the animals I already owned. But why should I have to put every animal I get from you in different rooms. I thought thats what you would have done before they were sold. I guess not!!!!!!!!! I told you on the phone I wouldn't reply to a post you made unless I thought you were trying to put this off on me for putting the males in with the girl. YOU TOLD ME TO BREED HER!!! Or do you not remember that. And you should try and keep the animals for over a week to make sure they're not messed up. Anyway I'm not attacking anyone. I was just putting what happened to me out there.

She was fine when we had her, like we said we had her for about a week before we sold her. When he got the animals Allen said everything looked good and he was happy with everything. That was the last thing we heard until a week ago when we called just to catch up and see how every thing was going, he said the female hadn't eaten , but that was all we had heard from it, if she had a diarrhea or any other problem we would have gladly taken care of it if we were notified when it happened.

Jas - We recommend people quarantine all animals from anywhere when they get them, obviously larger dealers cannot do that as the animals sell to fast. It is the buyers responsibility to practice there own quarantine procedures.

Again josh I did quarantine the animals I got from you. They have come no where near the animals I had before. But why would I quarantine every animal I got from you. Especially since you told me that you gave her to me so I could " get started breeding this year". And I answered your calls why not answer mine. I told you not to try and make this my fault. And you did, thats not cool. I never attacked you just like we talked about on the phone. But you throw the word "supposedly" in there like i'm not telling the truth. And say I shouldn't have put the males in with her. I put the pastel in before she ever had a bad bowl movement. So again I just don't want anyone else to get a bad animal. If all this does is make you start worming every animal you get in then I've done my part.

Time to leave this "Larger dealer" alone, and not bother them with any more orders!

How dare you take your non-chalant attitude, suggesting this was his falt for not seperately quarantineing the animals from one shipment! How about a sincere appology? How about a FULL REFUND, letting him keep the snakes he is able to save?

I will be sure to mention this thread any time I see anyone looking for a breeder... You better make this right, and you better do it now.

I have talked with Allen and apologised to him about the problem and offered to help him with any questions or advise. It is past our guarantee, the female was free, we are not taking a nonchalant attitude with this, we have spoke with him about this.
As we said we knew nothing of this until last night when he called.

She was not w.c she was a c.b or c.h normal female.
We never said go ahead and breed her, we said she was a breedable size female that we could throw in for him.

We told him that we have a lot of animals coming and going, he had mentioned wanting some lessers the next month, so he knew we did not have a chance to quarantine everything.

Hell, No need to qt EVERYTHING when $ is involved!! Sicko!!

I spent 3grand with this guy and all he said was that he was sorry and things like this somtimes happen. He even gave me a story about him buying a bulk shipment of lizards and all of them but 100 dying and the guy didn't say he was sorry. So I guess sorry is cool. lol If it had been me I would have at least said I would replace the female. Not that I would've taken it. But it would have been the thought that counted. You know. I do not think that anyone here is trying to throw Mr. J&J under the bus but for you to just have a attitude like it was all Alan's fault is real, how do you say, crappy. What ever mends you made with him is between the two of you but you came across in this thread defending yourself like he was to blame and you were taking none of it on your shoulders. That looks like to me and anyone else that reads this thread like some bad business practices. If you were not so interested in making a quick buck then maybe you would make sure that ALL the animals that leave your facility are in good health and the whole "we had it a week" thing is trash. You ask anyone on here and they would say that quarentining practices are normally at least a couple of weeks even when you do not know the person. You made a mistake and he made a mistake but I think until you come out and actually take the hit for some of what went on it just looks bad.

You only had her for a week - not even long enough to feed her. I have been to your site many times and have even planned on making purchases from your company as I am pretty sure you will have animals that look desireable to me. It makes me very nervous to know that you think keeping an animal for one short week is long enough for you to feel sure that an animal is healthy. Just remember, no matter where you get your animals or how long you have had them, they still have YOUR name written all over them at the time of sale. Hobbyists are sending you their hard earned money for animals on your website... be prepared to face the consequences of selling animals that are unhealthy, all because you wanted to move them out.

Might I ask for a simple timeline here please to clarify. My understanding so far is this shipment of snakes, including the normal female that died, was kept quarantined from your regular collection...correct? She was introduced for breeding purposes, while in QT, to two of the males that came in with her from this supplier....correct? I think a well laid out timeline of events would be of help to the membership here in understanding how this all came about.
