Piercing

All you crazy girls got me thinking about wanting to get another piercing with that thread last week. I got my conch done tonight. Ya like?

How'd you like it? Personally I didn't like getting it, but I got it as part of an orbital, so that may be why...OR because I'm a big weeny about cartilage, and I hate healing it! :D My kid sister LOVED hers though... she said it felt like it went through like a hot knife through butter...

I was worked up about it, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought... There was an immense amount of pressure but it passed very quickly. Not as easy as the helix and cartilage though, definetly.

ohh I love it!! Looks great on your ear...I need to get in an get work done already :( Or atleast order the jewelry for the ones I have...I checked on them and my tongue sucks!!!! Its only healed a tiny bit right in the middle *sighs* it was an 8 when I took it out which took me awhile to get to :( My neck is 100% healed which is crap! It never healed well at all :( Have yet to check all my ear piercings...I'm sure they are alright and if not it isnt hard to redo those.. but sheesh all my favorites are gone...and of course my nips were in the group of healers :(

AudOne I would love to see some pictures of your piercings :) I finally just had those captive rings put in my ear lobes tonight because I find you never seem to have two pairs of earrings so the second hole tends to get neglected. Figure why not just give it a nice semi-permanent ring :)

I got a little project in my left ear this December when I took out 5 other pieces of jewelry from my chest... the artist just kinda came up with it and I approved :D I'm not picky...

I like it!!!! Industrials are hot on girls.

i had my conch done a few times,had loads of piercings but had to take em out for work reasons, and some of em gout pulled out by my lil cousin when he was younger(was messin with him and his lil finger got caught in ny nose rings and pulled em out)
but now, im allergic to titanium and stainless steel and gold and silver barbells and cbr's. not allergic to stuff made out of niobium but most places here dont stock niobium stuff.

Thanks I was always told I couldn't get one because of the shape of my ear... but this Jason dude was able to get not only that, but then a helix dealie as well... he's just good like that... I don't care much for piercings that connect to eachother... it's kinda rough to sleep on and deal with sometimes, but oh well I trusted my artist... I just saw pics where he got his tongue split recently... This is a man who's scared of all sizes of snake, but he's got over 200 hours worth of tattoos on him as well as an apadravia (sp) big ole lobe holes, you get the picture... I can't wait to watch the healing process... I would have passed out if I had been there to watch, his pics about did me in and I'm not really weak that way! :eek:

Yeah I agree...so far my tregus on the left ear is the only thing I have had in for longer then 2 months (as far as my ears go) lol. I so need to get some darn jewelry for every hole in my ears... I just havent figured out what I want yet...I love simple captives so maybe that...I duh know sheesh.
Lordy I forgot about tongue splitting..I dated a guy with a split tongue..lets just say Russle was a popular guy with the ladies :D

i have a conch piercing in each ear and it is by far my favorite. my second favorite is the tragus, but mine both healed up (really just shrunk too much for me to get the jewelry back in) after i took them out for my wedding two years ago and i have yet to have them redone. must do it soon!

Well ya know I've had plenty ask what splitting was...pocketing I understand asking about but I thought tongue splitting was an easy one.

(and pocketing..is called the anti-piercing...with any piercing you see each end of the jewelry...or atleast each end is through the skin...pocketing is the other way around...you dont see either end...you see the middle of the jewelry...each end being tucked/pocketed into the skin..I myself lean torward new surface piercing (over pocketing) ...for many reasons over pocketing...pocketing has an insanly high rejection rate just because of the shape of the jewelry sitting IN the skin..where as a bar can be custom bent to fit your anatomy there for decreasing the rejection rate a bit...that's where we went wrong with my nape piercing...it was a curved bar which just doesnt cut it as far as rejection goes...it shuld of been a more sharp angled bar like a staple shape...any who I wont chat your eyes out...LOl sorry)

Those peircings dont look as bad as Prince alberts. :doh:

Recycling Goddess... as far as the ears... helix is the very top ridge of your ear, conch is very back thick part of your ear, tragus is the sensitive flap in front of the entrance to the ear...

...and the tregus is the little guy attached to your head... the antitregus is the little hard piece above the lobe, and the rook is a little ridge below the helix...

Old boy that did the tongue splitting has an apadravia... (sp?) That makes a PA look like a lobe piercing LOL... *shudder* (jk, PAs are still bad ass)

You ladies are ballsy! I couldn't do a corset! I did have a dermal anchor in my chest for a month, but I was nursing a young kitten and his constant suckling on it helped cause the rejection :(

I have had a couple friends just go wild gauging that sucker! I had one friend hit a 2g and another a 0... I only saw the 2... and ... :eek: ... the poor thing!

wow, that -n in conch didn't show in my mind when i first read it. I saw "ya like?" and was wondering how it made it so many posts without being closed

I had an ex with a 1/2 inch in his tongue and yeah it took me over 3 months to kiss him...I was scared he would knock out a tooth with it LOL Shockingly I didnt really notice it..WTF!?!? We broke up soon after *sighs* he also had a few piercings down below it was 4 slightly curved bars...making a box shape around ya know...like permanent ribs..god that was forever ago I forgot about him! He is now an artist at the tattoo shop I get my work done at...

And has for tongue splitting guy...I'm sorry but tongue splitting hands down is one of the most amazing things on earth as far as body modification goes...you can move each side independently or simultaneously ...WOW!!! It was just insane to watch him eat or just play with it...(other then that he was nothing special lol) I still cant get over it...yeah if I had the balls I would for sure do it...but even I'm to scared to get that done...I would if they knocked me out...or atleast gave me a local sheesh but watching it done live with nothing scares the crap out of me. :( As far as kissing goes it was pretty normal most of the time...until he would move both sides then I would freak out LOL and as far as anything else...well... :wuv:

I have one in my right conch going up to where everyone has their cartilage pierced... but in the left ear I'm going to have to do this orbital... :D oh yes... as soon as my piercer gets back to work from having his tongue split... he was over last night... I got to see in the light the inside of his tongue... it's still swollen because he just did it the night before... Oh man Oh man... it was wild... I'm sure I"ll like it better when I can't see all the everything in his tongue and it just starts to look like a healed split tongue... I had to smoke in front of him too :( Has to keep it reeeeeally clean for a couplea weeks...

Same here. I started piercing myself when I was 13, and have had 2 in my lip and 1 lebret, ears, barbell through the top and bottom of my navel, cheek and forearm. Now I don't have any, but I have 5 tattoos and counting. I have plans for adding to my chest, 2 upper half sleeves and adding a large piece on my right ribs. I haven't planned the rest, but I'm thinking.

Oh yeah, corsets are the sexiest mod, girls. ;)

Looks like he has traditional Japanese down. I know what you meen about the money, my last tattoos took over 5 hours at $200 per hour. I'm lucky enough to be apprenticing now, so I get free/cheap tats, and I can do easier ones myself. I can't wait until my half sleaves and ribs and chest are all finished. The ribs and collar bones HURT! At least my last ones did, but I didn't have an outline, just a 23 mag to paint the whole thing in deep.

Nice...I am planning on doing the half sleeve and then my last name in old english across the top of my back. That one shouldnt be as expensive.

I used to have a lot of piercings but have gotten bored/needed to take them out for jobs/something happened and now I only have my tongue left.

Now tattoo's are where it's at, although I do still love piercings. I want to get more but until I can make enough money off of breeding snakes that I don't need to work or until I can find a more laid back job, looks like I'm stuck with tats.

I agree about corsets being awesome, my wife wants one but is worried about rejection.

Oh, and I didn't get a PA, but I was getting a Jacob's Ladder, and had a very VERY bad accident with my first rung that left me with a scar and no desire to have any more piercings down there!

Well, I guess it isn't too much more then my artist. He normally charges $150 an hour. You know I don't pay that though. He's sweet on me so I pay $100 an hour. ;)

He's bada$$ and I've brought alot of business to him over the years that I've know him (he did my first tattoo at 18 :cool: ) so he charges me less.
