I feeding a little over 500 animals a week between my own adults, sub-adults, juvis and animals that I "should" sell ... that also includes a small group of animals on payment plan. ;)

There's a database report that I can run that breaks it all down for me, but 500 couple is the best I can do off the top of my head.

Well, I handle it with a couple of awesome helpers! :P

The way we do it is top to bottom down the freedom breeder racks ... the snake comes out and gets put into an empty holding tub lined with paper ... the snakes tub, water bowl, and hide are then washed and sanitized ... then the snake goes back into the tub and the tub and the snake are misted (unless the snake has a stuck shed, then he/she is soaked) ... after each column is cleaned the holding tub and the person cleaning the cage is disinfected, the holding tub gets new paper, and we're ready to do the next column.

We clean every single tub, every single week or as needed ... by the end of the week, every single cage is cleaned, every single piece of stuck shed is removed, and all is well in my universe. :D

Tile floors are awesome ... I live to mop!! Once a month I run the "machine" and everything looks sooo brand new ... I am a nut about clean floors!!!

I love my dividers in my HerpEnclosures rack!

Sounds like you're using aspen for bedding (the vacuuming). I've just switched everyone to newspaper, cuts that complete cleaning time down SO much! I love it! I hated all the aspen on the floor before. Now I just deal with it when changing the rat enclosures!

Yeah, the dividers are worth every penny...

I am thinking about the newsprint, we end up dragging the aspen all over the house and just when its clean, the kids will pull a snake out and its all over again ...

Before switching completely to paper, I used to use sani-chips in my cages ... I clean my shop every week like it's a hospital and even 3 years after the switch I still find the odd chip hiding in a crack here or there.

Paper rules!

i'm planning on changing to paper when we get our rack built. this aspen shavings is great to look at but a pain to clean.

although... as i write this i think about my snakes and think... but they loooove their shavings...
