Caturday!
most of us keep furry friends too, right?
post pics of your cats on a saturday! [emoji3]
here's my part Maine Coon, Zoey (or full, we don't know; she's a rescue). in her prime she was 22lbs. she's around 13 years old now. she likes naps and laying on you for skritches.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...dbb1b65430.jpg

Caturday!
Sweet looking kitty. I would think that there is a good chance of high % Mainecoon going by that weight and looks.
Don’t know if this is true or myth, but someone I respected told me that if the cat had that “M” on it’s forehead it is a Maincoon or at least high %.
BTW, I got a good chuckle from your title. [emoji3]
Here is a pic of Marbles who died a few months ago.

A few pictures of Nala...
Getting some loving form Mommy, watching the big cats with Daddy, waiting for Mommy to get home, relaxing on the warm dryer, and one where I caught her yawning and immediately thought of Wedding Crashers when I looked at the pics...

Re: Caturday!
I don't own a cat anymore after my boy passed away in 2009. He was only 2yrs old and the most handsome boy I've ever met. But as a kitten he was ugly lol we had a cat who had kittens, so I was literally there from day one right till the very end, I held him in my arms when he passed. I've never been able to get another cat after that.
That is a baby pic of him when he was a few weeks old.

That's him at 6 months and 8 months.

Re: Caturday!
I am at my core a cat lady. I just love em. I have a giant Siamese we rescued about 4 years ago. He is addicted to carbs, lizards (☹️) and me. One week after his adoption, he expressed his deep gratitude to me by tenderly tucking a freshly killed field mouse into my hair as I slept. Yeah...
Here is my handsome devil, Boudreaux.
In his favorite chair, reading his favorite book:

Re: Caturday!
I have 3 cats but taking pictures of them is virtually impossible. 2 of them, love and shadow, are big kittens. The 3rd and my favorite is Lily. I'm not sure of her age because she was a rescue. She's my favorite because she is calm and lazy just like me. The other 2 are right at a year old and both some rowdy little monsters. I'll try to get pictures when I get home. Lily won't be a problem but the others are insane so I make no promises

Re: Caturday!
This is Zeke. Most days he’s more like a dog than a cat, bullying our GSD and playing hide and swat with our Malamute.
He’s very curious, utterly fearless, and rules the roost. We adopted him about a year ago, and you can tell he used to be a street cat with his nipped and torn ears, but is a complete love-bug with my husband and I. He’s living the good life now!

I was stroking it thinking it was his paw, until he got up and walked away and the "paw" was still there. In my hair. Combined with the sleep stupor I was still in, it took a great deal of effort on my brain's part to make sense of what was happening. He did the exact same thing a few weeks later with a (living) frog. I'm quite thrilled the gifts have tapered off in later years...

It’s close enough to Saturday right? Lol
Here are my little babies. Both are very small for cats one being a small breed and the other was a rescue and very sick when he was young so it kinda stunted his growth.
This is Jay my older child a little over 2 years
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ecd4b5a570.jpg
And Jasper my little one at about a year or so. He lost one eye when he was very young to a URI that he had when we adopted him but he barely even notices it’s gone! Lol

Baby pics! Jaspers are a little gross due to his janky eye though

It will be some technical thing :)
I've seen some footie goals scored with their right foot that appear on Twitter a few hours later somehow reversed and the goal is scored with a left foot in the opposite side of the goal :)

Re: Caturday!
But if u see it with your own eyes and then take a picture or a picture of a picture then it should be the same side etc, maybe if u take the picture behind the object looking into the mirror so ur actually taking a picture of the mirror and then a face picture then it will be opposite if think lol

I had a really cheap smartphone a few years ago and it reversed or mirrored every picture I took with it. I didn't notice it was doing it for a few weeks after getting it but when I did, it almost drove me insane

I have technically four cats! One lives at my parents, one at my Nan's, and then two at my boyf's house.
This is Loki, who lives at my parent's. We've had her since she was a kitten, and I've known her since she was about 4 weeks old! If any of you have read Six Dinner Sid.... that sums her up perfectly! One Christmas my parents went to a party with our new neighbours, and they were talking about a stray they named Smudge that kept coming in and begging for food... and then another set of neighbours said that they had bought the cat food as well... and it turned out it was our cat! She stills comes back over the fence with ham from time to time!

https://i.imgur.com/DiByhuX.jpg?1
Then we have the two cats at my boyfriend's house, Maisy and Meg! They were adopted as kittens, and they look identical! The easiest way to tell them apart is that Maisy is... hefty :D She's a house cat, and Meg is an outdoors cat mostly. I don't have many pictures of Maisy because she isn't that friendly, but Meg on the other hand is very friendly and likes to sleep on our bed at night!
This is both of them :) Meg on the left, and Maisy on the right:

Meg:
https://i.imgur.com/P50j3pG.jpg?1
Meg also has extra tootsies! and extra toe beans! In this photo, she also gained a hat somehow... :D
https://i.imgur.com/Z9vxxNc.jpg?1
Lastly, we have Pongo, my nan's new cat! Sadly, just before Christmas her dog passed away, and since she lives on her own she wanted a new companion. She decided that a cat would be better than a dog, and luckily we found a shelter that was willing to work with us and let my nan adopt a cat! So in January, Pongo joined the crew!
In this photo his ears are a bit wet, that's because he was on ear drops for an ear infection at the time! He is much better now!

Let me say first of all...I'm not really a cat person. When I say this to my Vet, he finds that very funny, since I keep bringing rescue kittens near death to him ;)
He always says, see you next time!
So far over the past 4 years or so I've rescued 9 kittens, all in dire straits. One of them, the one that was the worst of (more dead then alive, really, and a hard fight to get him to live) ended up staying with us. Jack, a tuxedo cat.
Our latest rescue, late last year, was a red little male kitten that was found at night, in the middle of the road, completely blind with infection, flea ridden, skinny and about 4 1/2 weeks old. Thankfully the people noticed him and stopped and scooped him up. They were overwhelmed and posted on a facebook group that they needed someone to come and take this kitten or they would "put it out of its misery". They weren't unkind people...the kitten really just looked to be suffering and so tiny, too.
Well, my daughter and I went and got him. He looked like he was dead already, very weak, there was no time to waste to hurried directly to Walmart for some needed supplies. I had my daughter carry him like a baby, hidden in a towel ;) We got some funny looks that night. But hey, its Walmart.
At home we first gave some pedialyte for hydration and energy boost. Then on to a bath, to kill the fleas that were killing him. And to get some weird sticky substance off of him. The eyes were completely shut with terrible infection. Huge scabs of green puss and smelling of death. Next order was a meal of milk replacer. Then on to the eyes...oy. An hour of careful dabbing with warm compresses we got some of the scabs loosed up, but both eyes were infected red messes with green pus. The smell...
Next morning we were at the vet. Poor little Frodo looked dead when we laid him on the table and the Vet looked all upset, he thought we were to late.. But I told him Frodo was just sleeping hard, and being weak, but that he sometimes would get a little energy and purr :) So he got a shot, a ton of meds and back home we went. We diligently treated both eyes, although one was "busted". The Vet didn't want to remove it till the kitten was older and stronger. The "bad" eye had a "bubble" on it where tissue came out, and bloodveins and tissue built up towards that bubble, the bodies way of bringing disease fighting cells to that eye/ bubble. He didn't seem to be bothered by it much.
Let me tell you. We fell in love with him HARD. Very hard. Just something about Frodo. It didn't matter that he was a mess, smelt bad and looked less then pretty. We got him eating well, growing well. He played with our 2 Chihuahuas, with Jack our cat, with my German Shepherd. All my animals LOVE LOVE any rescue I bring home, they are great "uncles". All of them, even my cat. I'm so proud of them. (but the one Chi would always want the little live mouse hoppers for the hatchlings...he didn't understand, he wanted to baby them...)
We made a facebook page for Frodo and made sure that only THE BEST home would do. I came close to just keeping him, but we were going through a bunch of stressful things last year (health issues with my daughter) and it was not a good time to add another permanent member to the family.
We found a wonderful lady that absolutely adores her cats and will do anything for them. She took Frodo. We met at the Vet so that I could get Frodos shots done first and buy more eye medicine and have him tested for Feline Leukemia and such. I cried. She almost didn't take Frodo because she saw how attached I was. She has had him for 6 month or so now. Frodo's eye actually continues to look better and better. Her Vet said its because we kept treating it. The bubble disappeared and the vessels that supplied the healing are ever more shrinking down. She might have them removed by laser if they don't completely disappear. But he has vision in that eye :) Something we didn't really expect at first, the Vet was surprised as well.
I know I'm rattling on here, but Frodo just crawled right into our hearts and it has been the hardest then it has ever been...to let one go to a good home.
So here is Frodo, our latest rescue.

Oh, he is absolutely happy and healthy :) He was recovered by the time he found a new home. The eye was healing. We just didn't know how far that extra tissue would recede. At this point it is so faint that the new owner will probably just leave it alone, but it could be lasere'd off if that is what they want to do. He actually just recently got neutered, too, so now he is a big boy ;) I keep getting updates on him too, and it warms my heart.
Each and every one I rescued, I paid for all the costs, and they stayed until they were ready. To this day I know where each and every one is. One we kept, Frodo is with a dear lady locally, Lola (the first) is with another great lady locally (she adores her to this day). Monty is with a friend. Of the 5 I rescued from drowning 3 are with friends and 2 are with a lady in the same city as I am.
Here are some pictures of the "5" as I called them. They were drowning in a flowerbed that was rapidly filling with water during a crazy strom with tornado sirens wailing and a torrential down pour. They were only days old. All took to the bottle and grew well. :)

Re: Caturday!
This is my cat Shirley.
My brother found her in the garbage when she was just 5 weeks old. She was crying out for her mother.
He brought her to me and I brought her up. I fed her with a bottle, taught her how to climb trees and slept outside when she started to explore at night. I have no idea how often I've climbed trees to help her get down when she got stuck
At that time I always had bloody knees and hands. She never chose trees that were easy to climb (at least for me).
We tried to find her owner but no one ever contacted us about her so in the end we kept her.
Sadly she's very afraid of other cats (and also most other things if I'm not with her) and is more human than cat but she's a sweetheart. She doesn't like to be alone and collects pretty stones (she has her own stone pile in the garden). She will sit down on a chair right beside you when you sit at the table. When she sleeps in my bed she likes to lay with her head on my pillow and her body under the blanket. If you throw a small ball, she will bring it back to you so that you can throw it again. She also knows when I come home and waits at the doorstep while purring :D
I think she's absolutely adorable. She should be around 3 years now.
