Weird Eating Habits

I know that I can't be the only one who has weird habits when it comes to eating food. So let's talk about them!!

-When I get burgers, most of the time, I'll only eat the meat and leave the bun.

-when I eat pizza, I eat all the toppings first. Then I pull off the dough covered in sauce, then eat the crust.

-I can't use the same utensil that I used to take leftovers out of a container. I have to get a new spoon/fork.

-I don't eat the chicken in chicken balls.

First off - hello! There are a few WA people here. Doolittle, SnakesRkewl (I always screw that up, but it's something like that), Andy something-or-other....those are off the top of my head, but there are definitely others.

ETA: I see I'm not the only one who doesn't know what it is. How about a recipe?

My weird eating habit - must cut up fruit such as apples, pears, nectarines, etc.

Moms in the hospital. For real. Can't ask.

My only habit that some would consider a bit weird is I will time my food to all be gone at the same time. Last bit of burger goes down the hatch with the last chip.

Also, if I'm having a few beers while cooking or eating I will not continue when I'm done eating. Just to full. I'll pour it out.

I'm up north of Seattle by Everett. Little town of Lake Stevens.

Inquiring minds want to know, Kandis! What the hell is a chicken ball?? And how do you eat it without eating chicken?

You can't put things like this out there and then abandon the thread! It's poor forum etiquette!

Not really

I love those Swanson pot pies but I pick the chicken out and give it to the dog.

I have eaten raw deer heart and liver. Does that count as weird?

I can't stand hearing people drink. Like some people are just loud. They gulp their drinks or something. That guzzling and slurping noise, i just cant do it. I've had to leave the room or plug my ears. It doesn't drive me up the wall, it drives me right through the wall. If someones crunching on chips or pretzels those eating noises don't bother me though.

Snow shredder is Wa as well.

I also eat pizza with a fork, and have to cut up apples.

The different foods on my plate cannot touch.

I will only buy Tillamook cheese, and Best foods mayo.

Edit: Chicken balls....rofl :D

Speaking of apples.....HATE the skin.

Carrots and peanut butter is awesome.

I don't think that's deep-fried chicken :P there is deep-fried chicken (eg. KFC) but chicken balls are a Westernized Chinese food - and they're round :) delicious. But if they are indeed called deep-fried chicken there, that you can find at Chinese restaurants, try them!

I used to pull all the crust off my sandwiches and eat it last, because it was my favourite part.
I always eat my favourite part of any food last, though. Regardless of what it is. Usually that means eating around the outside in a circle and working my way inwards.

I also eat candy by colours: least favourite to most favourite (last).

Geeze, I really am a "save the best for last" person.

If we are talking about things we can't stand... People eating/chewing with their mouth open.

I like peanut butter and mayo sandwiches,
I hate fatty meat (I strain fat from burger when I cook) (prefer to eat boneless and skinless chicken.) wont eat anything with celery in it)

Right so I pour milk before I pour cereal. I eat ice cream in a cup covered in milk as well. I'm sure there's a dozen others that I just don't think are weird, and no one has pointed them out to me yet.

I don't know about wierd. But definitely yukky.

There is of course a story behind it....I'll just say fresh heart is much more chewy and I don't suggest it. Fresh liver has a sort of dense jello texture and has a very pleasant nutty flavor...not bad at all.

None of my food can touch and if I buy I've cream from the store I have to put it in a bowl and stir it up till it's like the consistency of soft serve. Lol people always think I'm weird when I sit there and stir up my ice cream till it looks like baby food :p

Nope, that doesn't bother me. Its only like the swallowing noises. And if im looking at the person and like see their throat muscles moving with the noise its like just... bad for me. I wanna rip their throat out. If i hear myself making the noise by drinking too fast or something i'll have to stop, it bothers me too. I can't think of any other noises that evoke the same reaction. There's other stuff i find annoying but NOTHING like that.

Yea. I'm like a 4 most times. Maybe 4.5. I'll go straight to a 9 tho, get up and leave the room. I've gone 10 on my brother before tho because he gulps or slurps loudly on purpose.

I can't stand for my food to touch either, and I eat each thing on the plate separately. First meat, then veggie, etc...

I can't eat in dim light. Has to be bright.

I can't eat Asian food with a fork.

I won't touch ketchup, but I love cocktail sauce.

When eating a sandwich, I almost always eat the outside edges first, before finally eating the center.

-Put ketchup on most food items and typically get grossed out or strange looks when putting it on turkey sandwiches. I don't like mustard or mayo

-Stir/mix my food together on the same plate to see how it will taste

-Eat M&Ms by color, favorite going last

-Eat my veggies first before the meat and starch

-When eating a sandwich and take a bite, the next bites have to be the sides of the bite created to make the sandwich even

-When at a restaurant, I place the napkin and utensils above my place setting to create more side-to-side room on the table

-Put pepper on my ketchup when eating french fries

Hubby will swirl his ice cream into a milkshake consistency. My mother in law puts the whole carton in the microwave to soften it. *shivers* I can't stand it. I like hard ice cream. You know, "ice" cream. :p

A friend of mine is deathly afraid of pickles and mustard. I've gotten him good by slapping a couple slices of mustard coated pickles on the sides of his face. He ended up outside gagging and vomiting all over the yard.

I hate using the same fork with my salad and the rest of my meal. I hate cut spaghetti, they make the noodles long for a reason. I won't drink after anyone. When I eat somewhere that the food comes in a wrapper, when I finish I have to fold up the wrapper. I'm sure I'll think of more later.

Agree 100%! When i buy ice cream, i squeeze all the cartons to find the hardest one i can, and choose that one :p
My fave candy bar is a pb Twix. Almost like a "Tagalong" girl scout cookie. I first bite off the chocolate top, which contains the pb. Then nibble the chocolate of the sides of the cookie part. Then i eat the cookie, with one layer of chocolate on the bottom. I eat Tagalongs the exact same way :p

Only way I'll eat burnt toast is with cheese whiz!

I can not have food touching on my plate, unless they belong together. And if I have any applesauce, I either clean my plate or get a new one. I also think cooked mushrooms make a squeaking noise when you chew them so I avoid them.

Anything orange flavored,so if I buy candy,I don't share the orange favors and usual the first . I don't care for green or yellow flavors at all either I'll give them away quick.

I save the best for last,that's how I was raised..my mother always did that,so do I. If I'm eating chicken ,corn any potatoes ..I'll eat corn first,potatoes second and chicken last.

when I eat chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream,I put just about all the cookie dough pieces in a bowl and eat them last,a majority if the time.

After the gym I eat all my carbs first,always. Although I been slacking on weight training last few months.

i love cold Italian food and prefer to eat it cold if I can. Eggplant pram,chicken par,lasagna.

I do not talk while I eat and I never eat before I have to do something. If I am at a Chinese buffet, it's ON, I will grab like three plates on the first run using the sauces cooked with the meat as dip for my sides.

I hate sharing food.

Or when we're out and they ask what I'm getting. NO!
