large exo-terra $25??!!

I begged my mom to let me get one an hour ago. She, of course, called Petco. The billing department had realized the mistake and are working on fixing it, all orders at 25.00 will be canceled. :( Trust me, I tried.

They can't cancel it if they already took your money. Tons of people on FB are already buying them lol.

Apparently, if you use PayPal to complete your order, they have to honor the sales per PayPal's terms. I read through PayPal's policies and that is also my understanding. Of course, I'm no legal guru, so don't take my word for it and I guess we'll see what Petco does. But I think it's worth a try. I ordered 2 and got both a PayPal confirmation and a confirmation from Petco. :please:

On Chrome I experienced a similar situation. I had already 6 (2 orders with 3 on each order) and was trying to order 3 more when I had the same issues I gave it a good 30 minutes and when I went to try again it wouldn't let me login with my email and password so that I could checkout.

Someone on fb called the office and they said orders will be cancelled or you can pay the actual amount.

I ordered one an hour ago and received conformation via Paypal & Petco. They are going to be very unhappy once they realize what they did.

No where on their Terms of Use has anything dealing with something priced wrong.

I used PayPay and got confirmation from them and PetCo

If people on FB have been calling then they have had time to fix it.

PayPal users can not be upcharged ;-) and paypal charges occur the second you send your order thus entering into an agreement on the price stated at time of purchase. Further that - texas law has a that covers these orders stating that suit is possible if orders are wrongfully canceled due to misleading facts presented at time of transaction:

So PayPal regulations + Texas Law SHOULD cover any and all Texas purchases. They can "ask" you to uppay or cancel your order, but you have to authorize the canceled order unless they assume "out of stock" and cancel all orders past a certain point legaly due to stock availability, not sure how that could fly but I imagine it will cover them :P

whats the status on ur orders? 1 of my CC's says processed but the other and PayPal both say "order placed"

I took screen shots of the price and where it says save up to 93%

Yeah, my boyfriend's friend linked him to the page, we rushed to order 2 of them, that was just before 6PM EST. Made sure to pay through paypal instead of with my credit card just because I figured with paypal buyer's protection they'd be more likely to have to honor the price shown. They're gonna be pretty upset if they have to ship out hundreds if not thousands of these things for probably less than they paid Exoterra for them. I know what I'm doing with mine though, a dart frog terrarium and a display cage in the living room for a BRB!

Edit: I was also billed for shipping at checkout, saw nothing about freight delivery. Anyone else?

Even if they reserve the right to revoke a price offer made by mistake, they would be violating buyer/seller implied contract in all kinds of highly illegal ways if they charged you anything more than the amount on your receipt/listed at checkout.

They will cancel all orders and refund all money. This happened not too long ago with lights they were selling that were mistakenly marked at a ridiculously reduced price.

I'm still tempted to order one and just see what happens...lol

I doubt it'll work but I ordered 3 with PayPal. No idea where I'll put them if they honor it but may as well try.
