If I lived somewhere with my own private yard, I would, but I live in an apartment complex.

Same here. Also because the landlords only allow birds, cats, and dogs. Shh, don't tell anyone...:whisper:

Ditto. Well at least the part about not having a yard.... although my landlord doesn't care about my snakes, he tells everything in the damn building about them.... good thing he doesn't know exactlly how many I have.... :D:8:

When I was looking for a place to rent, all the people I talked to who said no pets allowed, said snakes were ok.

Well when I asked why, it's mostly because of new carpet, or newly painted walls or the place comes fully renovated. Dogs & Cats = pee & poo places, scratch walls, destroy carpet, furniture and such. On the other hand snakes stay in a tank, and don't do any damage that the others can do.

Mine was the exact opposite. Everywhere I went they allowed pets but said no to reptiles. Which makes no sense at all because a 40lb dog can do WAY more damage to a room than a ball python.

They're not worried about damage; they think if the snake gets out, it could escape into the walls!:O Which is absurd if you have a secure enclosure.
