The switch to small rats

:confused:Well I switched Aphrodite from mice to small rats yesterday...she struck the first time and coiled.....then she just let go. I got the rat out and tried again...this time she struck and gulped it down....I just thought that was weird. anybody else had an experience like this?

Every now and then..

it just really worried me because she started breathing really hard when she struck the first time.

From my experience a ball will do this every once in a while when you move it up in prey size. The switch from mice to small rats might make a snake "double pump" to get it.

Never knew that....Learn something new everyday I guess.
