For disinfecting tanks and furnishings, how much bleach should you use to a gallon of water?

You should only put about 10% of bleach in a gallon of water, though (not including wooden things like wooden half log hides, sticks, etc.) I just scrub the hides, water dishes, etc. with anitbacterial soap and a sponge. It works pretty well, and if you do use the antibacterial soap with the cage supplies (especially the water dishes) I would rinse it off very well just in case there is anything left behind.

EDIT- I recommend scrubbing the water dish 1-2 times a week. I mainly scrub once a week on feeding day which happens to be today. I scrub the water dishes before the snakes eat so once they get their meals in they may still be in their little feeding response and if I happen to try to take out the water dish I might as well be in for a nasty surprise so I just mainly clean water dishes while the mice and rats thaw out then after I clean all the water dishes I go ahead and fill them up, put them back, and then offer the food.

I use a 10% bleach/water solution. Spray it down, rinse it really good with hot, sometimes soapy water. And then dry it completely with a towel before putting anything back in.
