Re: snakes vs lizards
I go with snakes I had both lizards and snake and the lizards require daily feeding for the most part. I can leave the snakes alone over a weekend if i wanted to go out of town with little worry. (sadly I do have to find a person that willing to take care of the rodents since i have breeding colonys.

I dunno...maybe it's just me, but snakes are just more interesting to me. I have iguanas and bearded dragons as well, but for me, my snakes really hold my attention, not to mention the attention of those who come to my house.
Another added benefite is, they keep the mother-in-law away as she has a phobia about snakes. ;)

Snakes here, that puts the count to 10-0.

Hm, there doesn't seem to be an option for "I like them both equally, but for different reasons."
Snakes win on beauty, for sure, but the comedy a crested gecko can produce makes it hard to vote against them...

Re: snakes vs lizards
i like the personality on lizards better but i like the low maintenance of a snake

Re: snakes vs lizards
dang lol, i love em both! but i voted snakes.
lizards IMO tend to show more personality, bc they have more distinctive body language
snakes are FASCINATING to watch, more soothing to handle (stress killers), and way easier to maintain
i just said snakes bc i want my pets to slow down my day, not excite me =p
but i REALLY want a beardie cuz they're soooo cute and exciting. just dont have the time :(

*Everyone* should have at least one leopard gecko. Tons of personality, many attractive morphs, very tolerant of handling/human interaction (mine will almost always climb up on your hand of her own free will), and super easy to take care of. Once they reach adulthood (15-18 months old), they only need to eat about every 3 days, so while they're not as low-maintenance as a snake, they're WAY less work than a beardie.
