Housing. Tanks tubs .......
I have noticed on this website ALOT of people have many BP's and other herps. My question is do you all have seperate tanks for each, do you house 2 together , plastic tubs ,etc. I am moving into an apartment with my fiancee in 2 months and she is worried our place is goin to look like a zoo. Currently I have 3 tanks my normal BP in 20 gallon , my leopard geckos in a 20 gallon and I have my other two baby male BP's in a 20 gallon long tank(i know alot of people dont believe in housing bp together ). I am currently looking for a spider female and thats going to be another tank

Is a few nights on the couch is worth keeping your snakes?
Re: Housing. Tanks tubs .......
invest in a rack system perhaps? every snake gets its own enclosure and you get to keep your free space?
Re: Housing. Tanks tubs .......
I had mine in separate tanks, but recently switched them all into tubs (except the geckos) - and now I'm preparing to order or build a rack system. If you really want to save space & money, and provide the best environment for the snakes, I'd suggest getting a rack. :gj:
Re: Housing. Tanks tubs .......
where do you get the tubs and how do you keep the snakes alive heating lighting etc. I apologize for my inexperience but thats why I joined this forum
Re: Housing. Tanks tubs .......
You can get the tubs from wal mart. I'm not sure about the heating, but I think most people use Flexxwat tape from Reptilebasics.com. Ball Pythons don't need any special lighting.

www.reptilebasics.com email Rich he's great to deal with.
Re: Housing. Tanks tubs .......
My snakes are all in display cages (or tanks while some cages are being built) that are either part of one unit or are stackable. I very much dislike tubs, mainly because they NEVER work right for me.
Stacking cages are a great way to save space and still have your snakes in a nice-sized enclosure. Currently, we live in a rather small 2 bdrm apartment and I have 8 snakes and a Blue tongue skink. :)
