We're not really Bay area, but just north of it. I live in a town called Lodi, there's a place called the Great Valley Serpentarium. It has recently gone under new owners, I got my BP there and she started out rough but now she's doing great, no thanks to them, thanks to this website!!!

There's also the Sacramento Reptile Show coming up at the end of next month.

Edit: Last time I was there, the last week of July, he had 3 hatchling male spiders for $225. He said they come from a strong line that has no problem with Wobbles.

East Bay Vivarium in Berkeley has gorgeous snakes, but they are fairly overpriced... last time I was there, they had a beautiful hatchling 1.0 spider for $350. I just bought one from somebody on here (JW Reptiles) for $250 plus shipping, and he's just as pretty imo. But if you're really set on going local, definitely check out East Bay Viv! There's also a guy named Robert Seib in Walnut Creek, who advertises on craigslist... I checked him out on Fauna, and he has nothing but positive feedback. :gj:

Robert Seib: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pet/1324727431.html (I contacted him a while back, and his spiders were $250 if I remember correctly)

Correction: I just checked EBV's current price list (http://www.eastbayvivarium.com/price...ythonlist.html), and they are now charging $400 for a hatchling spider! I don't care how beautiful the spiders are, that's just highway robbery... sooooo typical of the Bay Area, LOL. The pastels are also way overpriced, but strangely the albinos are fair - depending on how they look in person.

If the quality is excellent those prices don't seem unreasonable. Just because someone sells a spider for $200 somewhere doesn't mean that's the going rate for a quality animal.
I second Ed's idea to check with some of the breeders that frequent this site. Post an ad in the wanted/for sale section and see what happens:gj:
