I held my BP for the first time :)
I've had my adult python, Gogo, for a little under a week. I was going to wait a full week or more before removing her from her tank, but the time just seemed right last night. She appeared to be in an active & happy mood.
I have to admit.. I was a little nervous. She is my first snake and she seems so big. I understand it's extremely likely she will strike me at some point, but I didn't want it to be on our first play date together lol
My roommate (who also loves reptiles) was there for moral support. I told him to sit still on the bed and let Gogo do what she pleases. She made several passes around our laps, fully explored my bed, then explored the carpet- seemed to really enjoy herself. She has proven to be a total sweetheart thus far :D
What an amazing experience! I have fallen so quickly for her!

I know exactly how you feel.
When I first got Atticus, I was excited and very nervous to hold her for the very first time. But the more and more that she has been held, the sweeter she has become.

Gogo's previous owner just didn't want to take care of her anymore :( Her set up was missing several major items; thermometer, hydrometer, heating pad, a hideout.
