    Red Axanthic?
Well I thinking about picking up a red axanthic boy to breed with a het red A girl and am wondering what can a Red produce? Like example, pastel can make bumblebees pastel can make super pastels etc. But what can a red axanthic be mixed with to make some sick double recessives?

Check Cory Woods' website, he has done the most with them. I believe he produced a het. Red g-stripe not too long ago. Not many people working them into things or working with them period. Most of the crosses have been to co-doms.

Well actually, Red Axanthic is a Co-Dominant morph. "Het Red Axanthics" are visually distingishable from both Normals and Red Axanthics. Here's a couple picture of my Het Red Axanthic Poss Het Hypo female:

Some Het Red Axanthic combos include Pastel Het Reds, Cinnamon Het Reds, and Black Pastel Het Reds. I'm sure there are some Red Axanthic combos too, but I'm not sure what all has been produced. I think it's a cool morph with tons of potential. There haven't been a lot of combos produced, so you could be the first with some crazy cool Red Axanthic combos.

I don't remember ever seeing any Pastel Het Reds for sale. If you truly want to know what their pricing would be, ask Corey Woods.

    That's good one there. :gj:

Just remember, like any morph there are good and bad examples of it. Het reds should have a nice brown back like the one that LGL posted. I've seen some horrible examples that you could hardly tell were something more than a normal.

Oh I saw on Reptiles Canada he sells them for 450 for a male so I am guessing maybe 550 or 600 for a female,

Also can someone post a pic of a Pastel het A because I see ones on Google that look silver some that look pastel with a brown stripe down its back.

Oz from ozzyboids.com has done a tremendous amount of work with the Red Axanthic. Check out his site, there are quite a few crosses in his gallery.

I also believe that reds are a big sleeper morph and there is a lot to be done with them. We are working with a few ourselves, and last year Ralph Davis hatched out cinny het reds which were SMOKING!!!........Way underrated morph IMO.
