Non reptile people might see that as being cruel and not understand that snakes need to eat too.

First off great song! Just a heads up when feeding live rabbits if the snake doesnt get them right alot of times the rabbits will use there back legs to kick the snakes and there claws will cut right into them. Most of my animals eat f/t rabbits but I do have some that will only take live and what I do with these guys is right after the coil the rabbit I grab the rabbits back legs and hold them until the rabbit is dead that way the rabbit does not harm the snake.

Here's an idea, take a video of your snake taking a crap and post that on youtube also. It's also a natural function of keeping snakes, I'm sure tons of people would like to see it.

not sure if its necessary on MY part, but i kinda do the same when feeding live mice to my young ball pythons. i put teh tweasers under the neck of the mouse so it cant try to bite... and i kno it cant, i pin the legs down with teh tweasers so it doesnt scratch my bp

Good point about the back legs. :gj:

And yes, I don't think live feedings and youtube are a good mix. People always seem to get the wrong idea. :(

Im not really sure why people film reptile feedings. I know it looks cool when y ou first get a snake but I personally hate feeding day it takes forever to feed everyone and if I stopped and watched everyone eat that would be an all day event. I open a tub and give them the rat or rabbit close the tub and move to the next. I dont think Ive watched any of my snakes eat in over a year. Also when I watch them eat I get a little depressed because I know whats coming in a few days. A 6 pound digested rabbit is not fun to clean up

I think the largest live meal I have fed a snake was a small rat, and that was a long time ago. To the OP, you say your burm won't take F/T, I don't know about that one, I'd have to see it to believe that a burm wouldn't eat anything coming it's way, f/t or live.

I just realized, this isn't even a feeding video, it's a killing video, no eating takes place in that video that I see.

Burms do not always eat whatever you feed them. I have numerous burms that are picky eaters. Chloe my large albino green female will only take rats! It doesnt matter if they are live or frozen she will take both but I have tried for 2 years to get her on rabbits to no success Ive tried every trick in the book. I also have a yearling labyrinth het albino that will not take f/t and a yearling albino granite that will only except live mice she will not move up to rats or rabbit fuzzys. And I have one more normal het albino that will only eat live and I just got him on rabbit fuzzys
