    My new huge girl!
I adopted this lovely, big girl today. I think she's around 1000 grams, and eating a mouse weekly. There are a few things I need to change about her habitat and care, but overall I think she's in great condition. She's very healthy and nice to handle. I'm just not used to such a big one!! :P

I need to convert her over from live to frozen very soon too. Apparently, she grabs the mouse right away so I'm hoping it'll be an easy switch. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Her name is Entropy

she looks skinny to me I would up it to atleast a small rat a week. A mouse is no where neat enough. But looks good otherwise grats on the pickup. :D Do you know how old she is.

    Sweet.
Def try to get her on rats. Might be hard to go from live mice to FT rat so yo might try to just switch her to a small live rat then FT rat.
Mice = skinny snake. Rat= think snake

What do you mean by that?

But I do agree with others when they say try to make the switch to f/t rats. There isn't really any nutrient difference between rats and mice, but the larger size might be more suitable as prey. I'm not too sure on the weight, but I think 100g prey (10% of snake's body weight) would be a small rat.

No offence Calift but sense when is 1000 grams a huge female. Thats not even breeding weight. My yearling un-sexed ball is 617 grams after a shed and turd that made me wonder if my cat had snuck into her cage. I also would call her a finicky eater.

Yeah I checked out his web page. This is by far the biggest snake he has. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Calift has handled some nice snakes for sure.

Na there is nothing wrong with that at all. I'm sure he will have even bigger ones in the future
