Website Features?

My roommate and I are about to start working on my website. I was wondering if there were any features that you look for when looking at a website in this business?

I plan on having the following:
Home with a news section on it.
About
Available
Collection
Blog

On both the available and collection pages I plan on having a few pics of each of the animals I have and pics of the parents if it is an animal I've produced.

Any help is really appreciated.

Care sheets are always nice to have incase some one who doesnt know that much about the animals wanders on to your site.

A contact page would be nice, just in case you have something I want.:D

If you are breeding, An "In The Incubator" Page is also really awesome to show off some of your clutches, and what you are expecting to hatch out.. And I Love Reptie How To's & DIY's.. Ill probably adding a page like that to my site when im building it....

Yea, I definitely forgot the Contact Page when posting this, but have already included it in the design.

I also thought of an in the incubator thing before I read this. We're going to put that in the availability section I think. The how tos and DIY's were something that my roommate was suggesting when he told me to put a blog on the site I feel that this is a very good idea. I may also try to do some interviews with some other breeders and post them there.

I'll also direct anybody that I sell to this site, therefore, I'm not going to include a caresheet on my site.

Something interactive for the visitor to do. You want to give them reason to bookmark you and return. The more often they visit the better chance of getting them to convert into a buyer.

Such as a forum or chat or something? I like that idea, I'm just not sure what kind of interactive thing I could add in.
