Would you feel this was long enough to keep your collection safe?
Short version, I took in a very sick BCI three months ago and have him QT'd in a separate air space. I also have a normal bp I hatched out last year in the room with him as a guinea pig. The boa is still fighting a respiratory infection.
If/when he ever gets over this damned RI, I'm going to reset the QT back to day one and do a full 180 days. If both the boa and the bp seem healthy at that point, would you feel safe moving him into the same room with the rest of your collection? So far the bp is fat and healthy, I'm just paranoid about IBD.
Pics of the boa in question are in this thread if anyone is interested.

Oh the terrifying 3 letters in the snake world. I can tell you that a ball python will not survive but a month once it contracts IBD. However, IBD is a retro virus and does not survive long outside the body. Or simpler put is it is not air born. You would have to let the ball live in the same cage with the boa for a time.
I am very happy that your quarantine time is 6 months. Most people only do 3 months but my rule of thumb is 6 months for all boas over 1 year old. And it does not matter who I get them from, even if I get them from a "big breeder".
