What is the best way to tell if you have a 100% het pied ?
I know there are the markers... but its so hard for me to tell.. I may be getting a 100% het pied male and i want to make sure i know what i'm looking for * marker wise *
If anyone could help me out, that would be awesome!

You need to breed it to prove if it's a het or not. There are no tests and markers are unreliable.

Yeah, what she said! Clearly my reading comprehension is crap. I thought the OP had a possible het and wanted to know how to tell if it's a het.

So really the only way to tell by breeding it, is to another 100% het pied. Correct ? Breeding it to a normal won't do me any good.
Getting it from a good breeder is a good idea as well... I asked for papers to prove it was a 100% het pied.

Buy it from a reptutable breeder, and breed it to a Pied or a Het to prove it out. Once it produces Pieds for you, you know you have a Het.
Papers are only as good as the breeder who backs them up.

Remember it could take a few attempts to prove it out with another het. Each egg will only have a 25% chance of being a pied. He could be het but you could just miss the odds a breeding or 2...maybe more.

This is the best advise you can get. Although breeding to another het and not producing a pied in the first clutch does not rule out it not being a het.

The ONLY way to know is to KNOW that one or more of it's parents was a pied.
The way to do this is to either produce your own from a pied x anyhting breeding OR to buy from a completely trusted source.
