Pic of my BTS - FINALLY!!
Here is a link to a picture of my BTS, Zelda. http://www.crittersandconservation.c...e-tongue-skink
She'll be two in December. Anyone able to ID her? I just can't put a finger on it.
Re: Pic of my BTS - FINALLY!!
Heyah Melissa. Good to see you around!!
I LOVE BTS, but I am no good at IDing. Hope someone here can help.
:)
Yours looks lovely!
Re: Pic of my BTS - FINALLY!!
Thanks, good to see you, too, LadyOhh! I come in and out now and then, but working on my website along with the FaceBook vortex keep me otherwise occupied... not to mention all the animals!
Re: Pic of my BTS - FINALLY!!
My guess would be a northern
Looks good either way.
Re: Pic of my BTS - FINALLY!!
It lacks the lateral orange blotches of a Northern. Perhaps it's an Irian Jaya, or a hybrid between the two. She's a looker!
Re: Pic of my BTS - FINALLY!!
According to her former human (who was an employee of said store), Zelda was born to a wild caught gravid female at a pet store chain. She JUST shed last night. So this means I'll get a better picture, maybe two, and post those as well!
Re: Pic of my BTS - FINALLY!!
I see lateral orange stripes.....
May I ask how you know it is a female?
Re: Pic of my BTS - FINALLY!!
She looks Indonesian, maybe Irian Jayan. Need a pic of her back.
They really are cool lizards.
Re: Pic of my BTS - FINALLY!!
I have seen more pictures of Northerns and I think that is what she is. I still owe you all better pictures. Maybe after tomorrow...? I'm teaching a parks and rec class to kids called "Animal Adventures" and Zelda will be the star of the show tomorrow.
I am not sure of her gender.

Re: Pic of my BTS - FINALLY!!
:D:D Hey there!
Definitely a looker. :gj: But we'd need a pic showing her legs, back, and belly to even hope to properly ID her. With those dark stripes and no side face stripe, I would lean toward IJ or Meruke... but the legs will tell. :)
Pretty baby, no matter what it is. :) Oh, and my skink Topaz did indeed eat the Turtle brittle when I mixed it in with his cat food. He's slowly getting weaned off mushy foods. :D (FYI - Melissa sent me a sample of a great skink protein food.)
