Heating my new rack have a ?
K buit a new rack like the one in some of the diy sec. 9 space and using the sterilite 28qt tub. I bought a helix and some flexwatt. was told to go back heat but im having trouble keeping tems where they should be. the threm. on the thermostat is taped directly to the flexwatt and the helix is on 92. the tub temps are only at about 85 max down to 82. should i go with belly heat instead. ive got 2 pieces of flexwatt in the middle of of the tub rows. so theres 3 rows and 2 pieces of tape. do i just not have enough heattape? help is appriciated.
Thanks
Eric
Re: Heating my new rack have a ?
Typically you just keep raising the thermostat until you reach the desired temp within the tubs. i.e. My temps run mid 93F but my Tstat is set on 97.1.
Re: Heating my new rack have a ?
during the day its heated to 84 and at night it falls to 80.
Re: Heating my new rack have a ?
Bump your T-stat up in small increments like a couple degrees at a time and check the temps. Typically back heat is used in rooms that are above 74F.
Re: Heating my new rack have a ?
thanks malcom will keep raising it and see.
Re: Heating my new rack have a ?
In the winter i sometimes have to raise the t-stat up to 107 Deg. To reach 94 Deg.... lol
