Holy crap so soon?
So as I said in my last post I just got my first BP last saturday. Lord knows I adore her already. But today to my surprise... I get up come in to where her tank is and look in. I was just looking at temp and humidity like I do everyone morning and I noticed she looked different. Well, I'll be derned if she ain't shedding already! Her eyes tell it all. The cloudy blue color is there. No wonder she's so pissy. I just can't believe it's so soon! I'm nervous. Lol. I hope she has an easy shed. I'm still in shock!:O

Bump the humidity a lil bit and you shouldnt have any problems....

Re: Holy crap so soon?
When we got our bp, 5 weeks ago now, she went into shed in the second week and it wasn't very good. It came off in pieces and she retained an eye cap. Great eater and snake though. Then, just 3 weeks later I noticed it was happening again, and I kept the humidity level up with a damp towel on the screen, (I have a tank) and monitored temp and humidity with a digital monitor. I woke up this morning to find she had shed! It all came off, not quite in one piece, but you can see everything from her head and eyes to her tail in the shed. So cool! She looks so bright, which I never really saw before because of the bad shed. Just a matter of figuring out what will work best for you to keep temps and humidity levels up. Good luck!

Re: Holy crap so soon?
The last two snakes I have gotten have both either been in shed when I got them or started shedding days after I got them. Sometimes the stress of moving to a new home can trigger a shed cycle.
:P Just make sure your humidity is around 70% and get ready for a nice pretty snake!

Oh she's shedding! Her color is really coming out. I'm hoping to get some pics after she finishes. I'm going to see if someone can help me identify her morph. I think she may be just a norm. But gosh she's looking so pretty!!! Thanks everyone for the advice.

They can do it really soon. The spider i bought at the OKC show about a month or two ago shed in the deli cup on the hour and a half ride home.

She's completely shedded and oh so beautiful! I was really worried about a bad shed but it was great! I actually got to watch her do it! Oh I'm like a little kid in a candy shop with this. Lol.:D:banana::gj::8:
