    it looks just like the snake that bite me though


    was in my dads house in australia parents divorced we took some paddle boats went in this swamp/lake. when we were done i was pulling the boat out and it must of been basking there and my reaction was to kick it away and missed bite my ankle and i droped the boat ran in the house told my dad and its like 80 miles to hospital so my foot swole up to the size of my calf fever and pains like u wouldnt believe dont remember alot but i kept passing out

    You added in the part about Australia later, so I had orginially assumed you were trying to say it was Seminatrix. They are the only snakes in FL that could pass as a "red bellied" as far as common names go and are not dangerous. Sucks that you got bitten though.

    just the red sides threw me off so i put where it was from cause i knew it wasnt one but u never know people let go of snakes everyday cobras burmese ball pythons
