    JCPs?
So at the expo coming up in November, I was thinking of getting one of these:
    Western Hognose female
    Albino Western Hognose female
    Pastel BP
    Jungle Carpet Python
    Jaguar Carpet Python

Which do you think I should get? And also, can you tell me the price range for the Jags at expos? I already know Jungles will be somewhere around $100-$300. Will Jags run arund the same price? Oh and I want a baby female, or male (doesn't matter really, just give me the price ranges for both because I know females are more than males), but I usually like it when snakes are larger but really doesn't matter since I already have a snake that will max 7-8 ft. so male or female even though I love big snakes (not anything that gets over 10 ft. though) but males are just fine.

Make sure you do your research and get what YOU want. There is a large difference between Hogs and Morelia. I would stick with the Hog or BP. Morelia are active animals and require more room than the Hog or BP.

Jags will run you an easy $1,000+

    I likes me some Morelia.

But like Joshua said, they do take up more room and are quite active, which sometimes makes it difficult for you to control them.

i love ya man, but i gotta disagree... this years jags are going for around $300-500, or more for red coastal jags and jungle jags. i kinda wish they were still going for $1k :)

your chances of having a carpet python go over 10ft is pretty much 0 so i wouldn't worry about size.

speaking of size, i have a male adult hog and he's only about a foot long..... some are just extremely small. but they are really cool snakes.

Uh oh :O....Thug lovin too Thug thumpin! LOL j/k :D

Ps. Does it really matter what any of us think you should get? Not tryin to be a jerk, but that is kinda a weird question, and never understood why people ask it. I can understand people asking which pattern over one or the other, but not between species.

Thats like asking what you should eat in the morning, and wear when you get up, ya know? You should be asking yourself what you should get.

Eeeesh! You're right dude. I haven't really checked '09 prices. They sure have dropped in price! :O

Okay so what Colin said! $500+ for a Jag.

I guess I was just trying to say that you are looking at a large difference in enclosure size and prey size when you are talking Hogs, and Jungles. If you DO decide to go Jungle, make sure you read up on the husbandry requirements because they require a bit more than a Hog. :)

I would get a jungle carpet out of all of those. Since they are slender, it won't look like it is 7 ft. long when it is an adult, and a 7-8 ft. female may be the same weight as a big ball python female!I asked Brian from BHB what tub sizes he uses for his carpet pythons, and he puts them in 3x3x12, so I would think that would be suitable for an average sized male. I think carpets only get big enough to eat medium to large rats?IDK but they can take larger meals like jumbos.

I voted jag, but I'm a little biased towards carpet pythons :D
