    OMG! Finally!
As I posted in previous threads about my new breeding group, I got them from a new place and set them up with a few more things than the previous group had and wouldn't you know, I've got two definitely pregnant females already! I'm so excited. One female is beginning to show very small "golf balls" and is developing a slight waddle. I don't think she has too long before she pops. The other female is starting to show the pudge. The other female isn't showing anything yet but we shall see. The one female who is really showing is black with a white stripe across her back right before you get to her hips. The other pregnant female is brown (agouti?) and the non-pregnant female is also black with a white stripe across her back. The male is albino. I'm very excited to see what these babies will look like.

I plan on keeping a few females to grow up for another breeding group. I will post pictures of the group soon. (Taking pictures tonight)

Thanks! :D I hope I get a big litter. I have a lot of mouths to feed. Haha. I've decided to name the breeders, not for attachment purposes, but for keeping track of bloodlines and such.

    Cupcake: the obviously pregnant one

Cookie: the not so obviously pregnant one but still pregnant

The 3rd female looks just like Cupcake but she isn't pregnant yet. The male is albino and his name is Frosting. (can you tell I'm hungry, haha) No name for the 3rd female.

And the third female is pregnant. She's beginning to waddle and is developing the super pudgy belly. I've separated the females from the male so they can have their babies without being bred right after. So I have 3 females expecting litters, one right after the other. The first female, Cupcake is getting huge! She might pop in the next 5 days or so. Cookie might pop late next week. She's just starting to get the golf ball look.

    Congratulations!

I'm still waiting/wondering if my girls are pregnant. I just weight them everyday, to see if there is any significant changes...

Which now I am wondering...If your picking up your females...would there be a possibility of a miscarriage?

Just wondering...only because I don't want that to happen...

I've never had a problem with picking up the mice and pregnancy. I try to limit handling to only getting a weight or moving them to another cage. Short periods of handling won't hurt them.

Cookie is starting to nest and Cupcake is starting to think about it (her nest is smaller than Cookie's.

I too try to limit handling of pregnant rodents (mice, rats, asfs) just to be cautious plus they are generally more irritable at that stage of development too.
