    Repticon
I was looking up expos in the Carolinas. I found one called Repticon that is gonna be in Colombia, SC, November 7 and 8.

Would this be a good place to pick up any equipment or maybe even a BP (if I have my tank set up done by then)?

I've never owned a BP or gone to a reptile expo. What would I need to look for if I were to get a BP there? What should I expect to see at the expo?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Reptile expos sell a lot of good stuff, atleast the 3 different ones that i've been to. You can usually pick up some stuff for good prices. You can find snakes, equipment, tanks. Just make sure to bring a bit of cash with you.

I have never been to the SC expo, but I believe one of the ones that they hold are the venomous reptile show. Different vendors will have BP's for sale, just make sure its a more reknown vendor, and ask as many questions as you can think of, because if they get aggrivated with your questions then obviously they didn't want your business.

I wouldn't buy from LLLreptile if they are there.

Don't know how close you are to Charlotte, but Repticon will also be there in October. If they have a list of vendors up, you can check out the breeders who will be there and contact them ahead of time, and plan to pick up your ball python from them there (I'd recommend either asking in our Inquiries section or on Fauna Classifieds BOI to see if they are reputable first).

Usually Reptile Basics has thermostats, racks and flexwatt (a type of undertank heater) at the Repticon shows. Rich is a good guy (although he sometimes has someone else selling his product if he can't be there).

I'm about two hours from Colombia and Charlotte.
I'm still doing research and haven't even started getting stuff together yet. I don't want to buy one until I have the tank set up.

    Maybe I'll go to both.

I just have to say that Colombia is in South America. Columbia is the capital of South Carolina. Sorry to be picky, but that's where I grew up.:salute:
