how do you tame a leo?
I got my first ever leopard gecko and it is confusing me horriable. Its enclosure is in a no traffic/no noise room. It will let me pick it up sometime, and it will eat out of my hands but for the most part as soon as I go into the room or open its enclosure it freaks out and runs to the other side or into one of its hides. What would you guys and gals suggest for me to do to try and tame it? Thanks for your itme.

i'd say frequent gentle handling, approaching the cage slowly and quietly and then putting your hand in for him to lick/smell before you go to pick him up will make a difference. he's running because you're huge and predatory to him... trying to grab at him only makes it more so.

give him time, be patient and he'll get used to it. :)

Just continue to handle it on a regular basis and for atleast 10-15 minutes each time. Also if it bites you when trying to pick it up or handle it, don't put it back in the enclosure because it will learn that you leave it alone when it bites.

It takes time, be patient it'll come around for ya :)

I do approach and open the enclosure quitely. I will try holding it longer. It generally gets tired setting in my hand after 3-4 minutes. Thank you for the replies.
