    substrate story
so ive had my spider on paper towels, and during the day he would cruise, and try to get out of his tub. i assumed he was stressed. i switched his paper towels with aspen (and im gonna keep it that way for a bit) then he stopped cruising o.O... this was about 2 weeks ago lol...

idk y i switched it... i guess i wanted it to feel a lil more natural for him? but ya lol he just hides all day and at night, he just moves around his hides, drinks a bit, then cruises ><... i think it might hav been the humidity?

    any thoughts? similar experiences?

Maybe the aspen fills his hide more than the paper towels did, so he feels safer?

Yea, aspen helps fill the inside of the hide, so i've noticed all my snakes prefer something like that. Keeps them secure.
