How do you clean your tanks/tubs?
Im looking for the best way to clean cages and I want to make sure I use a cleaner that wont hurt my animals. What do you all suggest?

I just take my snake out (my daughter holds him while I clean). I wash all of the furnishings in the sink with hot H2O and antibacterail soap. I pull out the newspaper, spray down the cage with the chlororhexadine, and then wipe it down. I usually give it a second spray and wipe (must be OCD).
This all takes about 15 minutes (I only clean the cage when he pees or poops).

My UTH is under the tank (guess that's where they came up with the name). So, I don't touch my UTH -- I just clean the inside, not the outside.

Soap and hot water, followed by 10% chlorhexedine left on for 5 minutes, then rinsed off.
My quarantine bins are cleaned with soap and water, and then sterilized with a 10% bleach solution, and rinsed very well with hot water afterward.
