Any distance runners in the hizouse?
    Just curious. :)

I have always been a runner since grade school. I was the one kid who loved running the mile in PE. I have a marathon coming up in October out in DC.

I was diagnosed with Lymes Disease at the beginning of the summer. I got rid of it, but I was out of running for the majority of 2 months during my treatment. So that whole ordeal set me back on my routine. But now I am back up doing about 30-33 miles a week (4 runs).

    Anyone else?

    I love distance running!

I am a specialist in the 10 foot sprint, because that is where my lazy behind gets winded.

I wish I had that kind of endurance!!! I am 266lbs and it takes me like 40 mins to just run 3 miles. You must run an average of 7-8 miles at a pop. Wish I could do that....

Yeah, I have a 9 mile route and a 3 mile "hilly" route I do. It all depends on how I am feeling that particular day.

The guy who works at the running store which I frequent runs 90-100 miles a week. :O That is something I just have a hard time swallowing. I almost have to see it to believe it....but then again, I probably couldn't keep up. :)

And dude trust me...there are A LOT of things I wish I could do. This has kind of always just been my niche.

I have been running a lot back in the days (finished 6 marathons and around 16 or so half marathons, can not count the 10k races, along with one Ironman triathlon and 7 half distances and one Strongman duathlon) but I am out of buisness since two years, can not really tell you why, I just lost my drive...

I just got back into running in June. I run 3 miles at a time 4 times a week, so 12 miles total a week, for now. I'm also trying to eat a lot better and I lost 3 pounds just last week alone!

I got started running and weight training back in high school in preparation for basic training. Then stopped both after tech school.
Then I got back into both in my last year of the Air Force because I put on 30lbs! I then stopped for a couple years, put on 25lbs and then started hitting the weights and running big time for a year. Was in the best shape of my life then stopped again (you see a trend?).
So here it is 3 years later and 15lbs over weight and a friend and I joined a running group back in June. I'm not doing any weight training this time around, just running.

Most running I do since my football days, is the mandatory run I have to do once a year where I have to run 1.5 miles in under 18 minutes.
