Upper 6 inchs of of body is changing color?
    Hi all,

I was just curious if anyone knew what this was, if it was due to some type of sickness, or defiecenty.

My Ball python from the head to about 6 inchs down has recently become very light in color, Before it was black with a very dirty yellow color, now it is a very light whitish yellow on the non black parts only. For some backround info. Shes between 36 and 42 inchs at least and between 3-5 years old.

Has anyone encountered this before? Is it something to worry about?

    Thanks in advance.

Alot of snakes tend to fade out or "brown out" as they get older; turning darker spots lighter shades. The amount it fades varys from animal to animal as well as morph to morph (some morphs develop colors; whereas others lose them)

Ok, yeah the tail color of the first pic is exactly the color the scales turned on my snake.
