Poll: Which substrate/bedding do you prefer?
This counts for all colubrids, pythons, and boas. I pretty much just listed the ones that they can all be on. Which do you prefer, and why do you prefer using it? I'm just looking for new substrate that I can use with all of my snakes (colubrids, pythons, and a boa) and is safe, as well as low maintenance (not a pain to spot clean and clean up).
Re: Poll: Which substrate/bedding do you prefer?
none, i use paper towels, easier to clean and cheaper!
Re: Poll: Which substrate/bedding do you prefer?
I use aspen over paper front half and the back half is just paper, easier to control the warm side temps with a consistent depth paper compared to bunched up substrate. Half and half is cheaper then full aspen....
Re: Poll: Which substrate/bedding do you prefer?
I don't use any of the substrates that you put in the poll. I use newspaper for the subsrtate.
Re: Poll: Which substrate/bedding do you prefer?
I went ahead and voted cypress mulch however, I only use it in my big display cage. Everything else, I use paper towels. I think this is probably one of the best substrates to use.
Re: Poll: Which substrate/bedding do you prefer?
I've tried em all.
Yet I keep coming back to Kraft Paper.

Re: Poll: Which substrate/bedding do you prefer?
I checked aspen cause that's what I use for my colubrids. BUT For my BPs I use brown paper for the adults and paper towel for the "kids" ;)
Re: Poll: Which substrate/bedding do you prefer?
Newspaper, and occasionally paper towels for hatchlings. I tried aspen, and it was just a big pain in the butt.
