First time feeding multiple mice?
Well tonight will be my first time trying to feed more then one mouse to my bp. My bp currently weighs about 240-250grams. The store I get my feeders from only carries at the largest around a medium size mouse weighing up to a max of 20-22grams. The smallest rats they carry are about three times that large at least. Because of this I have decided to attempt feeding two mice in the range of 15grams each. Does anybody see a problem with this or think this would be any trouble? My bp has been a great eater so far and I plan to continue to use the 10-15% rule for my feeding weights. Anybody have any suggestion as far as techniques or does anybody think my bp is too small to start taking multiple meals? thanks for any help!
Re: First time feeding multiple mice?
you can try give that medium size mouse. after it swallow, you can then take the judgement by yourself.. like does he look TOO stuff, stomach TOO stretchy. if he dont seem stuff, you can give another one. But not more than 2 mice for a 250-grams.
is this his 1st mutiple feeding?

It's fine to do it once in while!

Re: First time feeding multiple mice?
Yes this will be his first multiple feeding. When he eats just one mouse in the 20-22gram range you can't even see a bulge in his stomach! I want to at least continue giving him 10* of his body weight so this is the reason I'm trying the multiple mouse feeding due to the shop I get them from not having the appropriate size mouse or rat for giving just one feeder per sitting. So what do yall think?
Re: First time feeding multiple mice?
Two mice around 15g each will be fine. I feed multiples at almost every feeding and my snakes are both very healthy.

Just wanted to post an update to say thanks and that my bp downed both mice successfully last night with no problems at all! Hope she keeps eating as good as she has been so far.
