DT: Where to put the probe?
I can't even figure out which are the correct temperatures now. The higher up the probe is, the higher the temps (100F+) say on the thermometer. The lower the probe is, the lower the temps (85F-89F). And in the middle, the temps say 89F-92F. Not sure where to stick the probe. I have a heat lamp (60 watt basking bulb) that I use as well. Getting a UTH for the BPs at a reptile expo in November, so the lamps are temporary. Also getting a infrared heat bulb soon. WHERE DO I PUT THE PROBE!

I would place it on the substrate. Thats where the temp is crucial.

It has a suction cup on the wire part next to the probe, so should I stick it on the glass right next to the substrate or dig into the subtrate a little, stick the probe on the glass, and let the probe sit on the substrate?

You could stick the cup on the bottom of the tank with the probe setting on top of the substrate. or on the side as long as the probe is touching the substrate you will be ok. You may want to get a temp gun you can get one from here for pretty cheap I remember you mentioning your b day is coming up soon in your piercing thread you could get one then or sooner. http://www.tempgun.com/main.html I am sure you could find cheaper ones if you shop around online. even ebay.
