Super Important! Python Ban!
The congress has done it again. They are trying to sneak a hearing to ban “ALL” Pythons. Not just big snakes, but all Pythons. The sub-committee hearing is set for tomorrow, the full committee hearing is set for Wednesday and if passed it will go to the floor for a vote sometime after that. I’m finding out more information this morning. But for now the best thing to do is to call the numbers of the sub committee members that www.usark.org has put out. We have to act today, this is happening tomorrow! The problem we have is that because it is a heavily favored democratic congress they can push through whatever they want with little hope of stopping it. The only chance we have is to get HUGE numbers of people flooding their switch boards with phone calls in opposition. If the committee members see this as political suicide they will not vote in favor of it. I for one am extremely disappointed in the way the government can act on something like this. Remember they are trying to punish the entire country for a problem that is happening in a very small section of south Florida. Is this what we want from our elected officials?? As I get more information I will post more as the day goes on. We need you not only to call and fax but more importantly we need you to tell everyone you know. Spread the word as fast as you can. This must happen today!!!! Keep an eye on this blog for further updates as I get them later this morning and today.

Thank you for the update Brian!!!
Re: Super Important! Python Ban!
I called Kendrick Meeks office Mrs. Wasserman's office and the ranking member of the committee Lamar Smith.
Re: Super Important! Python Ban!
I called all the people listed, at each office.
I'm disappointed that there's no webpage I can send people to, in order to have others call. We can't spread word via twitter if there's no webpage to point people at. I wish someone would take the letter emailed out to everyone by USARK and stick it up somewhere.
At least I've called, I'm just frustrated I can't do more.
