GAHH! Eggs dimpling - Day 14
My clutch of 7 (2 infertiles) are all incubating. I'm incubating the infertiles just for giggles. Oddly enough, those are still as plump as the day they were laid.

Two viable eggs are starting to dimple and collapse. I obviously have a humidity issue. I didn't bury them quite as deep in the substrate as last year, so I think that is part of the problem. To counteract, I've upped the humidity more in the incubator.

I candled them and they are still viable. I can even see a little snakie eyeball in there.

Since I've fixed the humidity in the incubator will the eggs plump up again?

If the humidity is fixed, they should recover just fine.

Don't worry as long as you got the humidity at the correct level the eggs will go back to the way they normally were. And by the way, good luck with your eggs! Keep us updated :]

Tiffany, with all due respect, how many clutches have you personally incubated and dealt with this particular issue? They may or may NOT plump back up.

Just keep an eye on them and watch that they don't dimple any further until much later in the incubation process.

Will do. This clutch is a pastel/spider pairing, one I've been WAITING for. This is my spider female's first clutch, so I'm hoping I didn't doom these two eggs.

It was a rhetorical question. :)

Fingers crossed that they will be fine!
