What feeds promote faster growth/maturity?

OK I've gotten into the ASFs pretty good now, I'm able to maintain around 300 with steady feedings/feed-offs. I'm to the point where I am pulling hoppers out almost ever week to separate into my grow out tubs. Now I've started getting curious, has anyone ever tried mixing vanilla protein into the water bottles to up their protein/vitamin/potassium intake? I would only use vanilla and start out in small amounts and increase gradually. I'm thinking about sectioning a few females out and trying some ideas. Let me know what you guys have found works food or supplement wise that have helped your colonies increase in HEALTHY size and maturity. Keep in mind we don't want fat ASFs they need to have size because of muscle.

I feed mine hog feed, I also give millet oats & sunflower seeds as treats. all my rodents get vanilla in their water bottles.

Putting vitamins in the water increases the bacteria load. Most lab blocks are perfectly formulated for the life and breeding of rats.

Vanilla in water... I've never understood it. I have not noticed a difference in odor control, how does it make sense it will increase their growth?

As for maturity, ASF's are sexually mature at two months of age. Does that mean they stop growing? Of course not...

If I understand Snake Doc correctly I think he wants to enhance the growth of his ASF's.:strong: I say go for it. It would be nice to see if the spiked water:8: helps any.
