    1/4" Gap??
    Is 1/4" gap too big for hatchlings? I just made a hatchling rack and it has a 1/4" gap between the tub and upper shelf. Will I be fine or not? Thanks guys.

    I wouldn't risk it at all. All they need to do is get their head through and their body will follow. Snakes have a tendency to escape out of openings that look impossible

    Yep, it's possible for a hatchling to get through a 1/4" gap. I found that out the hard way a couple years ago. :P
