    Hybrid Breeding?
So I have just recently learned a tonne on Hybrid Breeding EX: GTP to JCP but I have heard alot of the time the female becomes egg bound because there 2 different speices. Now is there anything about breeding like a burm to a retic? I know that you can't breed something like a retic to a ball python but something that grows about the same length width etc. Is this safe to do? I have seen it be done but not sure if it is a safe idea. No I do not plan on doing anything like this, I plan on staying on the right track and doing red tail boa to red tail boa or ball python to ball python. Just wondering if it's worth doing. I know that big breeders like Ralph Davis and BHB don't do it.

You'd be surprised what can be bred together. The ball python x burmese python hybrid was successful.

And to answer one of your questions, yes the burm x retic hybrid has been done.

I don't think anyone's tried, though I don't see why you would, they're 2 very very different species.

Hybrids from two very different snake species, IMO at least, make the most interesting looking hybids, and are least likely to be mistaken as anything other than a hybrid (which is a good thing).

Ball python x carpet python has been done. Carpet python x GTP has been done. I'm pretty sure that if you could get them to mate, ball python x GTP would stand a chance at producing living offspring.
