    A success story x2
Hello all! When my boyfriend and I first got our BPs (Shelby and Mas) we decided to feed live. We both find it extremely interesting and fascinating to watch nature in action. But as our babies get bigger and require bigger food we both get more worried about accidents. They're really getting too big for mice and need to start on small rats. So... After a couple failed attempts we BOTH got them to eat f/t. We were really happy, but at the same time I'm kind of sad, because I have been breeding and raising rats just for the purpose of feeding them. But, after a close encounter with a mouse (Mas had a terrible hold. Barely had wrapped around the mouse's head... the mouse's mouth was stuck to her body, but it looked like she'd taken a bite.. thankfully not, though.)

So Mas has had two successful feeds with f/t. This last feeding was a small rat. It took her THIRTY minutes to swallow that thing, but by George she got it! YAY!

Congrats, I've had horrible luck getting mine to switch.

He hasnt had an accident yet with small rats, he has been doing an amazing job striking and coiling on the live to where they have nothing to bite at all.

In fact he's just now finishing his feeding, took him a while to swallow it this time though, kept trying to eat it from the side. lol.

Congrats! :gj: I hope my BP eats f/t well when he gets older, but he is now a baby, so he's got a long way to go.
