Actually, Avatar is no anime. It is an anime-ispired cartoon that 100% made in the USA.

For it to actually be anime, it needs to be written and dubbed in Japanese first and then gets re-dubbed and re-written in English.

    Actual Anime:

    Dragonball Z
    Pokemon
Anything with Gundam in the title

    Anime-Inspired:

    Avatar: The Last Airbender
    Teen Titans
    Transformers (The original 80's version)

Getting back on topic, I hope M. Night Shyamalamadingdong doesn't frack this up. His last 2 movies have stunk. Although it gives me hope that he has stated he's not going to deviate from the main plot.

I also love how some people are QQing that there are no Asians in the cast. Especially since all the ethnicities in the series are fictional and no characters are drawn in an ethnically specific manner. Sure the names are Asian sounding but why can't white people have Asian names? I know plenty of Asians that have "American" names.

Honestly though, I always envisioned Aang as a little Chinese kid and Katara and Sokka and Inuit-type people. As long as the movie is entertaining, I don't care what color who is. I mean, Daredevil has a black Kingpin and that rocked.

And lastly, nothing can possibly worse than the Dragonball movie. So "The Last Airbender" can't be that bad.
