There are a couple changes that I would recommend, but the most important would be to cover the back and sides of the tank with something opaque. Looks a lot better than before. :gj:

good step in the right direction, looks much better. is that a stick-on hydrometer on the back side of the tank? if so, would recommend going digital along with covering the back and sides. also, is the lamp your only source of heating? If so,make sure you are monitoring your temps well- that tank looks pretty tall and may be a pain to heat properly with just the lamp, but like the saying goes, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

i know what ur saying and no i do have undertank heating and the heat and humidity gauge will be replaced with a digital setup...aluminum cover helps keep humidity in such a big set up..ppl say its too big for a ball but i have 3 hideouts and i dont think she minds lol

    thx for the feedback

A lot of people cut out black foam board to fit the outside. It works perfectly to make the snake feel secure, as well as insulate the tank a bit. Anything will work as long as it's opaque. You could even paint it black. The jungle terrarium backgrounds will also work and look good too, just make sure it can come off for cleaning. I used blue sticky tack on my foam board when I had a tank.

It still needs a little improvement but thats a good step in the right direction, Tanks to big, but as long as she stays feeding and has a good demenor than just keep it stuffed and hope she doesnt have any problems with it. :gj:

Quick question.... How big are you running of a tank? I ask because I have a 55 gallon that my 09 baby is in and there are ways to make it work..... of course the multiple hides.... I have it where my snake can get from one side of the tank to the other with out bweing seen if he so chooses. Then heat is your second concern.... As of yet I am in California so my ambient temps are nice and warm in my apart. and I am running with only a UTH..... Now humidity is the kicker when it comes to a larger tank, that i hcae seeen..... Now my normal humidty is at 45-50 normal for ambient.. plus I have two water bowls in the tank... now when I see that Rios is getting ready to shed the easiest way that i have seen to bump up the humidity is not the whole tank. Instead... I know that he will not really be leaving his hide while in the process, so I increase the humidity in the hide by placing a damp wash cloth over the hide itself. I am then able to just toss the wash cloth in the washer when it is dirty. I have had Rios for a couple of months now in that kind of set up and it has worked so far with him....
