Can I buy a quality thermostat that will regulate 2 tanks?
We are getting a BP and a Corn, so we'll have two tanks. I would love to know if there is one quality thermostat that will monitor/regulate two separate tanks.

While I'm asking, has anyone bought a long tank and divided it so that two snakes can each have their own cozy space? thanks in advance.

Im pretty sure the herpstat II by spyder robotics is what your looking for and its GREAT quality.
Yes it is possible to seperate a long tank for two snakes, but you have to be sure they have been quaritined for 90 days to be sure they dont have an illness that can be transmitted to the other snake.

Thanks for the info--I checked out their website and it sounds like exactly what I'm looking for (only $219). My thought about the converted long tank is that, as babies/youngin's, the snakes don't need too much space. As they grow/mature, I'll buy a second long tank so they can each have a right sized home. I'm just trying to not buy 4 different cages if I don't need to. Any recommendations for cages?

tubs are great, but my kids and I want something that look purty too : ) At least something that has a glass front (I know the snakes will hide, but the overall interior will be nice to view). I just want to make sure the cage will hold heat/humidity well.

Well tanks are notorious for being horrible at holding humidity, your probly going to have problems there. Your going to have to cover the screen top with something to keep all the humidity from goin out the top.
Maybe if your creative you could build something that has the pleasing aesthetics that your looking for but also functions good. Just do some searching around on the site and you will find some tips to help you keep the humidity up in the tank.

You could do a tub for the bp since they don't leave their hides much and a tank for the corn. Although, I don't really know if corns are more active than bps.

I tried to go for tanks ... and then I gave up. I went with racks and pvc caging eventually. I ended up wasting quite a bit of money trying to stick with tanks. If you wanna see your snake pull it out and handle it. Most likely its gonna be hiding anyways while its in its enclosure so it doesn't make much difference whether its in a tub or tank.
