    HELP! Lost BP!
Thanks to a careless pet sitter who didn't put the clamps back on the top of a tank while I was gone for 2 days, my ball python has escaped. I've just searched the whole room and connecting rooms for him. He is only about 2 feet long. My room, the room he was in, is the warmest room in the house and it also contains a few other animals who are safe. There are hundreds of little places for him to have slid into and under and I'm freaking out.

Is there anything I can do in particular that could help draw him out? I'm not even sure what day he escaped. It could have been Saturday night for all I know. Please help me!

put flour around the baseboards he may come out at night and lead you to where he is hiding. you can put a feeder on a heat mat with a hide on top he may ome out get it and stay there

Look in the coolest, darkest, most remote corner of the house. :P
    Look inside closets, underneath things.
Block air vents with holes large enough to access. Don't panic, they usually turn up.

I've had bp's escape twice the first time 3 got out one went under my bed, another went to the top of the crickets cage, the other went to the top of my fridge.

The second time, one went in a kitchen cabinet, another under the couch and the last went in the storage area under my fish tank.

They really do go to the weirdest places. I had to get a screw down lid for one and a pin for my other cage.

So look everywhere, even if you think it couldn't go there chances are it could. Hope you find it!

Thanks everybody. I have checked most of the whole house. I am not feeling very encouraged that I will find him by searching for him. When we moved, I couldn't find my huge, fat cat in a tiny appartment. I guess if he wants to be hidden, I am probably not going to find him. I'm not giving up the battle, but the search is going to force me to clean some crap filled closets that I don't have time to do today.

I will continue to look, I will try the flour trick, and I will put a couple of feeders down by some hides tonight. I hope he will turn up

OK so I haven't found him yet, but I put down the flour, mice and hides. I have news as well.

Good news: I can smell that he crapped in my room, so he is alive and in here some where.

Bad news: He crapped in my room and I am having as much luck finding it as I was him. It figures that it seems like the smell is coming from behind the one immovable object in the room. So I'm off to work for the graveyard shift. See if I catch anything tonight, and I'll keep you all posted. Thanks again for the suggestions!

Hahaha, this is so going in "completely out of context!" :D

Erm... I'm glad you know where he is though. :gj:

Perhaps he/she is in the box spring or the bed frame, take it apart carefully... :)
