Finally ate a rat!!!!!!

Finally I got my male to eat a rat. I usually have to feed him 2 mice. So last week I bought the mice and I kept them for a few days. I kept the bedding they were in. Today I put the rat in that cage and then on top of his cage for about an hour. I dropped the rat in and as soon as it came in front of him he struck. My question is do I have to do all this again next week or should he just eat the rat? Thanks Jeff

Whatever worked this week I would do it for a few more feedings just to get him use to the rat. More than likely he will just eat the rat next week.
