    New addition - '08 Ghost
    Hi Everyone,

I've had my new snake home for just under a week now and I was just wondering if I should be concerned since he hasn't really shown too much interest in his hides. He is in an RBI cage with an RHP for heat (90 hot side) and 81 (cool side) 55% humidity.

He has an idential hide on each side but he tends to hide behind the hides or underneath logs I have in there - should I be worried.

I know that he was used to being kept in a tub without hides so possibly he just doesn't know what to do. I did pick him up and direct him into one of the hides this weekend and he stayed in it for a good 8 hours or so but then the next time I checked on him he was out of the hide and curled up behind it.

It may be nothing but I just wanted to check you with you guys.

    Thanks.

I have had balls in the past that didn't use their hides at all..and they ate and were healthy and didn't seem stressed, so I didn't worry about it!!

I'm working on pics - he is still in the "do not disturb" mode so I am waiting for at least two weeks before I bother him too much.

It would be perfectly fine just to snap a few pic of him and his enclosure, thats not gonna stress him that bad if at all. Just dont start handling him or trying to feed him till 1 week and he should be fine. I hope you have him in a qt enclosure as well.

Yes, he is in qt in a totally separate house than my other snake - although he seems really healthy - I just didn't want to take any chances with my female normal bp.

I will get some pics soon - I need to include some of Bella also - she is just beautiful.

I have to refresh my memory on how to upload the darn pics - it seems like such a hassle to just upload pics having to go to a host site and then send them here.

Good job on the qt, they might not look sick but its really not worth the risk. I upload my pics straight from my phone so its actually really easy for me, but we all love pics so you will get alot more attention with pics.
