Hi,
We have a good sticky that should help. :)

Re: Skin left on tip of tail
oh thanks, I have tried bathing her but she doesn't seem to like it at all
our other snake seems to enjoy lying in the water and doesn't need a lid to keep her in, but mine constantly is pushing to get out the whole time. should I continue to bathe her? I don't want to stress her out.. is this normal?
Re: Skin left on tip of tail
Can't you just peel the skin off the end of the tail? Especially after a soak....it should just slide right off.
Re: Skin left on tip of tail
Get a damp paper towel and try rolling it off.
Re: Skin left on tip of tail
I have also heard that about the tip of the tail if the shed doesn't come off of it, but as the others stated with a little soaking, or wiping it with something damp it should come off....
Re: Skin left on tip of tail
Soak the snake as per that sticky posted for you. Get a rough old facecloth, dampen it just slightly. Lay it in your hand, start the snake slithering through your hand as you make a gentle but firm fist around the snake's body. As you approach the stuck shed on the tail increase pressure slightly and the stuck shed should come off. Never peel off dry stuck shed. It is important to remove encircling shed especially on the tail tip.
Re: Skin left on tip of tail
thanks guys :)
I will try that after her next shed
the poor thing has had a rough go with mites and everything so I try to do as little as possible to stress her out
but I know she doesn't mind a warm cloth, I"ll try that after her next shed if it doesn't come off

Re: Skin left on tip of tail
I just normally pick it off with a fingernail or slather some neosporin on it. That loosens it up and it's gone in a few hours.
