I used to own one. It was an epic lizard. I had a yellow sharan. I bought it for like 35 bucks at a herp show all super crappy looking. I got him into supreme health and he stayed there for years.

I miss that guy. I named him Karu after the finnish word for desert.

I wish I had some pics. I think I might be able to find them....... Give me some days.

I did have one but just this past week I traded it for my first ball python..I really did love my uro..But I never really handled him much and I just really see myself being more of a snake person..heh...Well here's some pics of my old uro Cyrax..I had him for a year and a half..I got him for free from a reptile convention cause he had a bad leg (that the guy thought was broken) and he seemed to have a bone dis-order of something (he was super thin)...I took him home determined to help him..a month later he started using his leg, and within 2 months had started gaining very good weight..He was such a sweet little guy when I first got him..then people on forums told me I should never handle him because he needs to be in hot temps at all times..so I stopped..so that is when he became aggressive..The person I traded him to has 2 other uros and she has promised to keep me updated on his health and his training (well..gentle taming..lol)...Here's some pics of him :0)

When I first brought him home:

    When he started looking better:

    He started showing some color:

The pic I took of him the day before the trade :0(:

They can be quite sweet and each have their own personality. I talk to mine and hand feed fresh flowers every few days. But, they are more of an "observation" pet as they only tolerate being handled, mine squirm and squiggle to get away from me when I try to take them out and weigh them. They require high temps and huge enclosures, even as babies, and can't be away from their heat source for more than a few minutes, their body temps cool down really fast.

My brother has a young Sudanese Uro for several months now. He's about 6"ish and is a very cool little guy.
