Do you happen to have a picture?

Mine decided to dump out ALL of the water from his bowl the other day and curl up in it. He's just goofy like that though. He had his head under a leaf though so I guess technically he was still 'hiding' LOL.

Your bp might just like chilling like that!

    What is her length?
    Does she have 2 hides?
Is the heat pad being used with a rheostat or thermostat?

A hide is a place like a bowl thats dark and enclosed, something for the snake to hide in away from the light. Snakes yawn so thats probably no biggie, except i guess its a sign of a respitory infection if they do it all the time. Listen to see if he/she makes a "Clicking" sound..mostly at night when its dark in the room and his/her heat lamp is off. Remember snakes are basically contourtionists, whatever there head fits through they can get into for the most part, so dont worry too much. And that water bowl thing is halarious, the snake got all of the water out?

If you don't know what hides are chances you don't have any. Ball pythons need hides. They are very shy snakes and can be easily stressed when left out in the open. Do your snake a favor and get two hides that are tight fitting and have a small opening. You can buy opaque bowls from the dollar store and cut an opening into the side.

I am not sure what you mean by your original post. Do you mean she is just laying coiled up? If so, that is completely normaly. They are BALL pythons after all.

Delilah loves to lay "folded up" in the corner, right behind her water bowl - especially when she's going into shed, probably because the humidity feels good. Does yours look something like this? :D
